Jovia is a mobile social and local activity app that helps people discover nearby activities, join events, connect with others, send messages, and share event memories. This page explains what information may be processed and why, in clear and straightforward terms.

1. Information Jovia may process

Account and profile information, such as name, username, contact details, and profile details you provide.
Location information (approximate or precise), only when you grant permission, to support nearby activities and local discovery features.
Messages and participation information, including event participation and in-app communication needed to provide social features.
Photos and short videos you upload to event memories.
Technical data necessary to operate and secure the app, such as device and service-level operational data.
Infrastructure provider processing by services such as Supabase and Apple/TestFlight, limited to what is needed to host, deliver, and review Jovia.

2. Why Jovia uses this information

To operate core app features and maintain your account experience.
To enable nearby activity discovery using permission-based location access.
To support event participation and messaging between users.
To store and display event memories (photos and short videos).
To maintain security, prevent misuse, and protect the app environment.
To improve reliability and functionality of the app over time.

3. No sale of personal data

Jovia does not sell personal data.

4. Account and data deletion requests

You can request deletion of your Jovia account and associated personal data. We review and process deletion requests in line with operational and legal requirements.

5. Data retention

Some information may be retained temporarily for security, legal, or operational reasons, after which it is deleted or reduced as appropriate.
